Thoroughbred Charities of America Adds New Board Members

Lexington , KY-May 26, 2007-Thoroughbred Charities of America, (“TCA”), an affiliate of TOBA, has announced the appointment of five new directors to its current Board of Directors. Newly appointed are Antony Beck of Gainesway Farm, Jimmy Bell of Darley at Jonabell, Gary Biszantz of Cobra Farm, Nadia Sanan Briggs of Padua Stables, Dan Metzger, President of TOBA, and Jack Wolf of Starlight Stables. Bios will be posted to the TCA website at www.ThoroughbredCharities.org following the annual TCA board meeting on June 2, 2007.

“We are very pleased to add these five industry leaders to our already illustrious Board of Directors” stated Herb Moelis, President and Founder of TCA.

TCA is a fund raising organization which follows a “ United Way ” methodology, by providing the Thoroughbred industry and supporters a way to give to one entity which then distributes annual grants to hundreds of non-profits within their mission.

TCA distinguishes itself from most multimillion-dollar fund raising organizations by one important factor: TCA's low expense ratio of .057 allows over 94 cents of every dollar to be granted out directly to their annually accredited grantees.

The TCA mission is to provide a better life for Thoroughbreds, both during and after their racing careers by supporting retirement, rescue and research and by helping the people who work with them.

The new board members join the current board members Amy Adkins, Kathleen Crompton, Gretchen Jackson, Michael Levy, Robin Malatino, Bob Manfuso, Reiley McDonald, Ellen Moelis, Betty Moran, Dr. Jim Orsini, Dan Rosenberg and Rob Whiteley.
