Churchill Downs selects Equus Run Vineyards for Derby 133 with Proceeds directed to

Thoroughbred Charities of America

 

Midway, Ky-April 24, 2007-The award-winning wines of Equus Run Vineyards have been selected as the Commemorative Wines of the Kentucky Derby and Churchill Downs.

 

Equus Run will produce a limited edition bottling of Chardonnay, Merlot and Bluegrass Blush. The wine labels feature the Official Art of the 2007 Kentucky Derby by Misha Lenn. Equus Run will also produce a highly collectible bottling of Cabernet Sauvignon with the logo of Kentucky Derby 133 etched and hand-painted in gold and the bottle numbered.

 

A portion of the proceeds from each bottle will be donated by Equus Run and their distributor, Republic Beverage Company of Kentucky, to Thoroughbred Charities of America, (“TCA”). TCA supports nearly 200 Thoroughbred-related charities in rescue, research, backstretch, education and therapeutic riding, with annual grants.
