Rob Whiteley

Rob Whiteley is the owner of Liberation Farm, a commercial breeding operation based in Kentucky.  Liberation Farm is co-breeder of numerous major stakes winners, including El Corredor, Strong Hope, Roman Ruler, Bahamian Pirate and Badge of Silver.  Rob also bred nearly 150 Stakes horses while directing Carl Icahn's Foxfield Thoroughbreds from 1988-2005.

Rob is the co-founder and President of The Horse Farm Workers' Educational Assistance Fund, which has awarded over 200 scholarships to children of full-time thoroughbred horse farm workers in central Kentucky.

Rob is a Board Member of Fasig-Tipton Company and was President of Fasig-Tipton Appraisal Services from 1983-1987.  He was a professor and chairman of the graduate programs in counseling psychology of Rutgers University from 1968-1981.  He earned an A.B. from Stanford University (1965) in English and American Literature, earned an M.A.T. from Harvard University (1966) in English and American Literature and earned a Ph.D from University of California, Berkeley (1968) in Counseling Psychology.
