Todd Pletcher Seasons to be Included in TCA Season Auction  

 

Nov. 10, 2006-Todd Pletcher has elected to include his “package” of stallion seasons for 2007 in the Thoroughbred Charities of America, (“TCA”), Stallion Season auction which will begin on November 27 th , and conclude with a live auction at the Keeneland on December 1 st . The live auction will be conducted by Fasig Tipton auctioneers.

  

Included in the live auction will be seasons to stallions such as Bluegrass Cat, Mr. Greeley, Songandaprayer (LF), Unbridled's Song, and Vindication, among others. Proceeds of the auction will be distributed by TCA to about 150 organizations involved with racehorse rescue & retraining, backstretch aid including scholarships, handicap riding and equine research.

 

This is the 17 th annual TCA event which raised $1.9 million last year, making TCA the largest Thoroughbred charity in the country. The event was previously held at Candyland Farm in Delaware with over 93 cents of every dollar raised, going directly to the charities.
