Crompton

~ Born in 1936
~ Lived on Long Island during the Second World War.
~ Moved to Middleburg, Va. in the 1950' s and developed a love for fox
hunting that extends to today.
~ Currently hunts with Mr. Stewart' s Cheshire Fox Hounds in Unionville,
Pa.
~ First got into the racing world through her father, Rigan McKinney,
who was a top steeplechase jockey and was inducted into the Saratoga Hall
of Fame.
~ Rode in some amateur Ladies races over timber as a teenager and campaigned
a few timber horses in the 1970' s.
~ Bought her first mare in the 70's and has sold yearlings and weanlings
at the various sales since then.
~ A Little Luck was her best horse raced --- winning two Grade III races
on the grass. He is currently turned out on a retirement farm in Maryland.
~ Currently has a few mares and a couple of fillies of racing age.
~ Currently on the Board of the Cheshire Hunt Conservancy and has a great
interest in the Land Preservation Trust and preserving open space.
